Celeste Melgar was born in Panama City, Panama, this being a connection center for the rest of the world, she grew up around multiple cultures. Eventually she started traveling visiting multiple places within 4 of the 7 continents, this expanded her desire to understand people but also celebrate such beauty within their differences.Her work such like her are explorers of life, within the years there have been multiple points where she has expanded her limits. Making sure she engages with the worlds beauty, diversity and unity she allows for the viewers to submerge within cultures. To travel without their bags, all they need is themselves and an open mind.

       When it comes to mounting her materials she prepares all her own surfaces to ensure she becomes the process. She has a preferred medium of acrylic on wood, due to its characteristics that reflect society and the journey of life. In her early work she focused on the heart warming emotions such as love and childhood innocence. Recently she has begun a new series based on research, where she finds herself learning about new cultures and shining a light on their importance.

       In the year 2020 she not only discovered a new route of research and development as an artist but she developed skills as a curator. She completed multiple certifications on curatorial practices and curated her first solo show in her home country. This experience led her to being featured in magazines, such as and share her passion through radio interviews.
